The film is directed by Alexander Arkhangelsky.

Today's university is the result of the lives of several generations of clergy and laity throughout the 20th century. The founders of St. Tikhon's University unified the church tradition, preserved in Soviet Russia and in the experience of the emigration, with modern educational standards. Being the spiritual heirs of the Local Council of 1917-1918 and of the Russian New Martyrs, the students of Archpriest Vsevolod Spiller and followers of the famous professors of the University of St Serge and St Vladimir's Seminary, they were able to create from scratch an open world and a rapidly growing modern university.

Among those shown discussing the relationships between generations and the integration into the international academic community are the Rector of St Tikhon’s, Archpriest Vladimir Vorobiev, Bishop Panteleimon (Shatov) of Smolensk and Vyazma, rector of the church of the Resurrection in Kadashi, Archpriest Alexander Saltykov, Dean of the Faculty of Ecclesiastical Art, and alumni and faculty of St. Tikhon's University.
