Американский богослов, философ и патролог.
Научные интересы: античная и средневековая философия, патристика, философия религии, межрелигиозные отношения.
В 1982 году окончил Аубурнский университет (Алабама, США) со степенью бакалавра физики. В 1996 году защитил докторскую диссертацию в Университете Техаса (США). Тема диссертации: "Действие, действительнось и энергия: Енергия у Аристотеля и в поздней греческой философии".
В 1992 -1995 гг. являлся преподавателем философии в Университете Техаса. В 1996-1997 гг. преподавал философию в Индианском университете. В 1997-2003 гг. являлся приглашенным профессором философского факультета Университета Кентукки. В 2003 году стал постоянным профессором факультета.
В настоящее время является деканом философского факультета Университета Кентукки.
