An Orthodox missionary delegation from the USA went on a visit to the Parish of the Holy Trinity in Ulan Bator from June 7 to 19, 2012. The trip was made as part of the ongoing cooperation between the parish and the Orthodox Church Missionary Center in Miami (OCMC). Contacts with this organization were established with the blessing of the director of the Moscow Patriarchate office for institutions abroad, Archbishop Mark of Yegorievsk, reports the website of the Holy Trinity parish in Ulan Bator.

The program of cooperation includes short-term and long-tern programs called to promote the work of the parish to preach Orthodoxy in Mongolia and to carry out educational work among both expatriates and locals.

The American delegation, led by Archpriest Brendan Palfrey, consisted of seven representatives of the Church of Constantinople and the Church of Antioch, as well as from the Orthodox Church in America. The group visited cultural and historical sights in Ulan Bator, met with Russian and Mongolian Orthodox parishioners, representatives of the Buddhist clergy and students of Mongolian universities, and started studying the basics of the Mongolian language. The translation and teaching of Mongolian were carried out by the administrator of the parish Nikolay Dashbazarov and the parish interpreter Mashbat Amina.
