Защитил докторскую (PhD) диссертацию в Emory University (Атланта, США) в 1982 г. Тема диссертации: “The Possibility and Promise of an Ecumenical Fundamental Theology: An Historical and Typological Investigation".
Преподавал в Nazarene Theological Seminary, Sioux Falls College, American Baptist Seminary, Seattle Pacific University.
