Доцент Ноттингемского университета. Специалист в области исследования взаимодействия религии и культуры.

Изучала богословие и английскую литературу в Кэмбриджском унивреситете. Докторскую диссертацию защитила в Ланкастеровском университете.

Работала в Исследовательском институте Манчестера им. Джона Райлендса, исследуя рукописи Данте. Затем в течение 5 лет преподавала в Университете Вирджинии.

Работает в Ноттингемском университете с 2004 г.

Супруга Джона Милбанка.
