Deacon Augustine Sokolowski, a regular contributor to the web-portal Bogoslov.Ru and a lecturer at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), attended a meeting of the international drafting committee to draft the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (WoPCU 2014).

The drafting committee, which consists of permanent experts of the International Theological Commission, "Faith and Order", the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, as well as representatives of the host country, is annually chosen to prepare texts, with the aim of reviewing and revising texts for the week of prayer for Christian unity, which is traditionally held from 18 to 25 January.

The theme of the drafting committee this year was the text of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians, "Is Christ divided?" (1 Cor. 1, 10-17), as interpreted by the inter-Christian working group on the Canadian side having been applied to their local context. During the work, the Commission exhaustively edited texts prepared by the Canadian side, and met with ecumenical organizations from Francophone Canada.
