Metropolitan Hilarion meets with head of Conference of European Rabbis

On September 6, 2012, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, head of the Department for External Church Relations, met with the president of the Conference of European Rabbis, Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt of Moscow. Participating in the talk were also Deacon Dimitry Safonov, a DECR staff member, and Rabbi Michael Yedvabny, adviser to the Chief Rabbi of Moscow on interreligious dialogue.
There was a fruitful talk dealing with the need to develop the experience of joint organization of religious forums similar to the conference on The Family in Crisis held last December in Vienna. They also discussed other matters of mutual concern.
