Professor David Tracy to give Fordham 'Orthodoxy in America' Lecture

This year’s ‘Orthodoxy in America’ Lecture will be given on 28 November by Professor David Tracy, STL, STD, who will speak on "A Reflection on Contemplation, Speculation and Action in Orthodox Theology."

Dr. Tracy is the Andrew Thomas Greeley and Grace McNichols Greeley Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus of Catholic Studies, and Professor of Theology and the Philosophy of Religion in the University of Chicago Divinity School. He has taught a wide variety of courses in contemporary theology: in philosophical, systematic, and constructive theology and hermeneutics, and on issues and persons in religion and modern thought.

Amongst his publications are: Blessed Rage for Order, The Analogical Imagination, Plurality and Ambiguity, and On Naming the Present: Reflections on God, Hermeneutics, and Church. 

The lecture will be held in the 12th Floor Lounge of the Lincoln Center.
