DECR vice-chairman Hegumen Philaret (Bulekov) meets with UN expert

On 25 April 2012, hegumen Philaret (Bulekov), DECR vice-chairman, met with Ms Farida Shaheed, the UN Special Rapporteur on cultural rights.
Hegumen Philaret told the guest of the historical and culture-shaping role of the Russian Orthodox Church and her current humanitarian activities and answered Ms Shaheed’s questions.
Also taking part in the meeting were a DECR staff member and a staff member of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
